The authorities are concerned about the poisoning of cotton growers in Saatli
Baku / 11.06.18 / Turan: Ilham Aliyev took unde4r personal control the fact of poisoning in a cotton field in Saatli region, stated the message of the Prosecutor General's Office of the country, which initiated a criminal case on this fact. On June 10 with the diagnosis of chemical poisoning 24 people who worked in cotton fields were delivered to hospital.
"Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev was immediately informed about the incident. On behalf of the head of state, the treatment of poisoned people was taken under control, in order to find out the reasons for poisoning, a commission was sent to the district consisting of the staff of the Food Security Agency, the ministries of agriculture, health and the environment and natural resources, "the prosecutor's office said.
It is unclear what caused such a prompt reaction of the authorities to what happened. However, the restoration of cotton in the country is an initiative of the country's top leadership. This sphere of agriculture is actively stimulated by the authorities, despite the protests and recommendations of experts that the cultivation of cotton destroys small farms, due to which in many ways the rural population of the country exists. -02D-
