The bridge destroyed in the Goychay region by mudflow is restored
Baku/22.06.18/Turan: On Friday, the car bridge over the Goychay River, partially washed off by mudflows on June 2, was put into operation after reconstruction.
Turan was informed about this by the first deputy head of the Goychay Executive Power Ikram Veliyev. The bridge connects the Goychay and Agsu regions, and is located on the route Baku-Shamakhy-Agsu-Goychay-Yevlakh.
As a result of a partial collapse of the bridge, 38 villages of the Goychay region were cut off from the district center. The communication between the regional centers of Goychay and Agsu was bypassed - along the route Gazakh-Baku.
During the investigation it was established that the cause of the collapse was the extraction of sand and gravel in the river bed, which increased the mudflows. Seven people have been arrested on the case. The bridge is 71 m long and 11.5 m wide. -0--
