The court did not satisfy the complaint of the "Line of Defense"
Baku/25.08.23/Turan: In connection with the refusal of the Ministry of Justice of Azerbaijan to register the human rights organization "Line of Defense", this public association appealed to the court.
The Ministry of Justice approved the refusal by the fact that the name of this organization does not indicate the "nature of its activities", as well as there are no signatures and personal data of all the founders in the documents.
The lawyer of the "Line of Defense" Fariz Namazli, speaking in court on August 23 at the Baku Administrative Court, said that the organization is engaged in the protection of human rights and this is indicated in the name of the structure.
As for signatures and personal data, the organization elected its chairman and gave him the authority to represent the structure. However, the court did not accept the arguments of the lawyer and did not satisfy the complaint.
Rufat Safarov, Executive Director of the "Line of Defense," said that an appeal will be filed against the court's decision. ----06B---
