The court leaves the journalist Parviz Hashimli in custody
Today Sabail District Court considered the petition of the journalist Parviz Hashimli to change the measure of restraint on house arrest. The court rejected the petition, Turan was told by lawyer Elchin Sadigov. The journalist was taken to court and taken away from there, accompanied by employees of the Ministry of National Security in black masks.
Parviz Hashimli is an employee of the newspaper "Bizim Yol", and director of the Center to Protect Civil and Political Rights, a member of the Popular Front, was arrested on September 17 on charges of smuggling and illegal possession of weapons.
