The court refused to transfer the journalist to house arrest
Baku/17.12.19/Turan: On Monday, the Sabail district court did not approve the request to transfer the journalist Polad Aslanov to house arrest, wrote on his facebook page his wife Gulmira Aslanova.
She previously indicated that Polad refused to testify, protesting against an unbiased investigation.
* The editor of the site xeberman.com Polad Aslanov was detained on June 12 and arrested for 4 months under the Article. 274 (treason) of the Criminal Code.
The investigation is conducted by the State Security Service. On October 5, the arrest period was extended for another 4 months.
Local and international organizations condemned the prosecution of Aslanov, believing that the publication of corruption in law enforcement agencies was the real reason for his arrest. -06B-
