The head of the municipality and employees of the State Property arrested
Baku/01.08.22/Turan: The head of the municipality of the Saray village of the Apsheron region, Mahir Hasanov, and a number of other officials were arrested on charges of taking bribes. They have been brought to justice in a criminal case under investigation at the Main Directorate for Combating Corruption under the Prosecutor General.
The defendants in the case were the head of the Khachmaz territorial department of the State Service for Property Affairs Aydin Jafarov and the head of the Gabala department of the same department Shihali Abbasov.
They were charged under the Article 308.2 (abuse of power resulting in serious consequences), 311.3.1 (receiving a bribe by prior agreement by a group of persons), 311.3.2 (repeating a bribe), 32.5, 311.3.1 (facilitating the receipt of a bribe) and 312.1 (giving a bribe) of the Criminal Code .
All three were taken into custody by a court decision for the period of investigation. The investigation continues.
