The head physician will appear before the court
Baku/15.09.21/Turan: A preliminary investigation in the case of illegal actions of officials of the modular hospital of the medical center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) has complated.
According to the press service of the General Prosecutor's Office of Azerbaijan, the investigation established that the head physician of the said hospital Imran Agayev in a preliminary conspiracy with the employees of this structure Gulu Orudjev, Taleh Imanli and Rufat Velizadeh, took bribes for placing patients with coronavirus in a medical facility, as well as for providing patients with VIP level medical services. These persons divided the received bribe among themselves.
In addition, according to the investigation, 140 patients suffering from COVID-19 were taken to the Modular Hospital by ambulances of the Medi Style LLC clinic, the founder and director of which was Agayev. For these services, he illegally bailed out in cash - 51,600 manats.
In addition, Agayev allowed the hospital's official Rufat Velizade, who had contracted the coronavirus, to leave the administrative building of the medical institution, which posed a real threat of the spread of the disease.
Based on the evidence collected in the case, Agayev was charged under the Article 139-1.2 (violation of anti-epidemic, sanitary-hygienic or quarantine regimes, which entailed grave consequences), 308.2 (abuse of office with grave consequences), 311.3 .1, 311.3.2 (repeated bribe-taking by a group of persons and by prior conspiracy of the Criminal Code.
The case was sent to the Baku Serious Crimes Court for consideration.-06D-
