The Hyrkan Forest burns

Baku / 07.08.17 / Turan: On Monday, at about 7.13 local time a fire began in the Hyrkan National Park, located at 317 km.to the south of Baku, reports the Ministry of Ecology. The employees of local structures of the Ministry of Ecology and the Ministry for Emergency Situations were involved in the fire extinguishing. The fight against fire in the highlands is conducted mainly without using technical means, the report says.

The Ministry of Ecology calls on the population, be more careful with fire in nature, observe fire safety standards during haymaking, do not throw cigarette butts. The Hyrkan National Park is located in the southeast of Azerbaijan on the territory of Lenkoran and Astara administrative regions. The park's teritory is 40 358 ha.-03D06-
