The landslide on the Badamdar slope remains active
Baku/05.02.21/Turan: Landslide activity on the Badamdar slope in the Badamdar region remains active, the head of the National Geological Service of the Ministry of Ecology Ali Aliyev told Turan.
According to him, after the landslide on January 28, the process did not stabilize and the dynamics of tension persists. Small earth shifts occur periodically at the fault site. The landslide mass remains unstable.
“Therefore, the landslide process has not ended. Dynamic tension remains,” Aliyev said.
This area has been considered a dangerous landslide zone for many decades. With interruptions, approximately every 10 years, large landslides occur on the Bail slope. Despite this threat, the construction of housing and other facilities does not stop here. In recent years, the village has been actively building multi-storey residential buildings.-0-
