The newspaper "Echo" ceases to exist
Baku / 18.05.18 / Turan: The leading Russian-language newspaper of the country - "Echo" ceases its activities due to financial problems, the first deputy editor of the newspaper Ruslan Manafov told Turan agency. After the recent death of the editor-in-chief, Rauf Talyshinsky, the financial problems of the newspaper intensified, he noted. The last issue of the newspaper will be released on May 26.
Asked what will happen to the team, Manafov said that everyone will settle himself.
The editor-in-chief, Rauf Talishinsky, unexpectedly died on May 8 at the age of 61. He founded the "Echo" in 2001.The newspaper took a balanced and often pro-government position on many issues. -016B-
