Baku / 12.07.18 / Turan: At 16 o'clock on Thursday was another blackout, which lasted about half an hour. Virtually all over Baku electricity was cut off. Serious disruptions also occurred in the country's regions. The reason for the power failure was a fire under the high-voltage power line in the territory of the Akhsu region, reported the press service of Azenerji.
The cause of the fire is not reported. Meanwhile, traffic was stopped on one of the three lines (purple) of the Baku underground. Some traffic lights of the capital also stopped working, which caused traffic jams. The electricity supply was resumed at approximately 16:45.
It should be noted that this is the third mass power outage in Azerbaijan in the last 10 days, when a fire broke out at the transformers of Mingechevir HES. -02B-
