Baku/13.03.21/Turan: During the day, 733 more cases of coronavirus infection were revealed in Azerbaijan, 265 people recovered, and eight people died, the Operational Headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers said on Saturday.
So far, 239,692 cases of coronavirus infection have been identified in Azerbaijan, of which 230,726 people have recovered, 3,276 have died. Today the number of active patients is 5,690.
Over the past 24 hours, 10,470 tests have been carried out in the country.-0-

The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) has not been invited to observe the parliamentary elections scheduled in Azerbaijan for September 1. Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Aykhan Hacizade, stated that invitations have been sent to seven international organizations: the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights, the Commonwealth of Independent States, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, GUAM, the Non-Aligned Movement Youth Organization, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, and the Organization of Turkic States.

A new group of migrants from the Garadagh district of Baku has arrived in the city of Shusha, the State Committee for Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons reported. Seventy-nine Shusha residents, comprising 21 families, have returned to their hometown.

The Central Election Commission (CEC) of Azerbaijan has informed Elhan Shainoglu, a political scientist and head of the Atlas Analytical Center, that his candidacy for the upcoming parliamentary elections has been rejected. Shainoglu disclosed the decision via social media platform X, stating that the CEC notified him by phone, just 30 minutes before the expiration of the seven-day response period.
