Baku / 22.12.20 / Turan: 2284 new cases of coronavirus infection were detected in Azerbaijan, 4392 patients recovered, 41 people died, the Operational Headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers said on Tuesday.
The total number of infected people in Azerbaijan has reached 205,877, including 147,199 recovered, 2,294 died, 56,384 active patients continue their treatment.
A total of 2,088,358 tests for coronavirus were carried out in Azerbaijan, including 15,221 in the last day. — 06D-

On December 25, an Embraer 190 passenger plane operated by Azerbaijan Airlines CJSC (AZAL), on a Baku–Grozny flight, crashed near the city of Aktau in Kazakhstan. Azerbaijan’s Consul General in Aktau, Ayxan Suleymanlı, stated that the plane had 67 people onboard, including crew members, 38 of whom died. According to him, 26 of the deceased were Azerbaijani citizens.
