The police detained five members of a criminal group of drug dealers
During the operation of the Main Drug Control Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, 5 members of an organized group engaged in drug trafficking were detained. All of them have previous convictions: Bahlul Ismayilov, Royal Aliyev, Khayal Aliyev, Samir Aghayev, and Ali Mammadli.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, 70 kg of marijuana enriched with psychotropic substances, heroin, methamphetamine, as well as 3,565 tablets of methadone, pregabalin and bank cards and scales used in online drug trafficking were seized from them.
Members of the organized group planned to smuggle drugs into the country together with Iranian citizens, whose identities are being established. Drug traffickers planned to create a wide network selling drugs and involve young people in the drug trade. According to these facts, criminal cases have been initiated, and all detainees have been arrested.
Operational measures are continuing to identify and bring to justice other members of the organized group, the report says.
