The reason for Gulalyev's health deterioration is an infection in his abdominal cavity
Baku/07.08.21/Turan: The doctors of EGE Hospital, following a blood test of the well-known human rights activist Ogtay Gulalyev, found that the reason for his health deterioration is the infection in his abdominal cavity, his relatives told Turan.
It is examination by specialists together with an additional tomographic examination that a decision will be made on further treatment, and possibly surgical intervention to cleanse the body of infection.
At this stage, the activist will be injected with antibiotics and other medications. Today, his condition remains serious; however, his blood pressure has returned to normal and the temperature dropped. According to the doctors, there are no problems in the brain.
On the evening of August 6, the State Agency for Compulsory Medical Insurance issued a report on Gulalyev's health condition. It says that he has been placed at the EGE Hospital for examination and treatment.
"Currently, instrumental and laboratory studies are being conducted in this medical institution. The doctors assess the health condition of the patient currently placed in the intensive care unit as stable and serious, " the report says.
*Note that the human rights activist's health condition deteriorated sharply on August 5, after his gastronomic pipe fell out. During the day, his temperature rose sharply.
