The speed of traffic has been reduced on some streets and avenues of Baku
Baku/16.03.23/Turan: Since March 17, the speed of traffic has been decreasing on a number of streets and avenues in Baku,Vusal Kerimli, the head of the Baku Transport Agency, announced on Thursday. The restrictions will affect the avenues of Heydar Aliyev, Babek, Ziya Bunyadov, Gar Garayev, etc.
Thus, on Heydar Aliyev Avenue from the center to the metro station "Koroglu", the maximum speed is reduced from 90 km/h to 70 km/h, and then from 110 km/h to 90 km/h. In the same way, the speed of traffic will be reduced on the Mardakian and Zagulba highways. The speed on Zii Bunyatov Avenue will decrease from 90 km/h to 70 km/h.
On the central streets of the capital, the speed will be reduced from 60 km/h to 50 km/h. According to Kerimli, appropriate road signs will be installed on all these sections.
"The Baku Transport Agency has prepared proposals to reduce the speed limit on 14 road sections in order to improve traffic safety and effective traffic management, which is agreed with the State Traffic Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs," Kerimli stressed.
