The Supreme Court returned the property of an officer of the former Ministry of National Security (MNS)
Baku / 01.05.19 / Turan: The Supreme Court overturned the decision of the Court of Appeal on confiscating the property ofVusal Alekberov, the convicted head of one of the units of the former Ministry of National Security.
The judge Farhad Aliyev, satisfied the cassation appeal of Alekberov.
Vusal Alakberov was sentenced to 12 years of imprisonment by the Military Court under the Articles of the Criminal Code 182.3.1, 182.3.2 (seizure of property by an organized group through threats), 294.3 (falsification of evidence in cases of serious crimes). 311.3.1, 311.3.2, 311.3.3, 311.3.4 (re-seizure of property by an organized group through threats), 341.2.1 and 341.2.3 (abuse of power by a group of individuals, leading to grave consequences).
Later, the Court of Appeal reduced the term of imprisonment to 5 years. -0-

As part of the struggle against illegal migration in Baku city, operative actions were carried out at different addresses.
