There is no need to buy a new school uniform
Baku/30.08.21/Turan: On August 20, at a briefing organized by the Operational Headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers, assistant to the President Shakhmar Movsumov declared that school studies are scheduled to begin on September 15. At the same time, he added that the topic might be discussed to judge by the number of infections in early September.
If school studies start in the prescribed time, the sale of school uniforms and school supplies will be organized.
A question arises: are there any changes in the prices for school uniforms and accessories? Can students wear last year's uniform?
According to the Baku garment factory, there are no changes in the prices of school uniforms. "School uniforms have been worked out since 2010, and materials for tailoring purchased from Turkey. In accordance with the demand, a sufficient number of school uniforms have been produced. A form of size 26-44 for grades 1-6 costs 40 manats, and a form of size 32-54 for grades 7-11 costs 46 manats. Plain trousers of size 26-42 cost 15 manats, and 44-56-18 manats. Similarly, single skirts cost 15 and 18 manats, respectively."
However, the Ministry of Education noted that since the clothing descriptions for the new uniform school uniform have not yet been approved, students can wear the same uniform as before in the 2021-2022 academic year.
A shop selling school supplies told Radio Azadlig that there is no significant difference in prices this year as compared to the last year, and even with due regard for pandemic and purchasing power requirements, discounts are made. But the number of buyers is not so great. As a whole, one student needs to have at least 80 manats to purchase school supplies.
Kamran Asadov, an expert on education, said that the use of uniform school uniforms by students in secondary educational institutions is the most successful step to ensure social equality. "There is no need to buy a new school uniform. The point is that parents bought the forms in 2020, however, due to the pandemic, practically no one was able to use these forms."
According to the expert, a student's school attendance is calculated according to 3 components. "First, the purchase of a school uniform. Currently, a full set of school uniforms is 120 manats, and this price varies depending on the size. This includes neither shoes nor bags and accessories."
He noted that the second component is school supplies. "Their cost ranges from 37-45 manats per academic year. The third component is outerwear and shoes."
Asadov stressed that the cost of school supplies for a student as a whole can cost parents from 270 to 350 manats. "During the pandemic, people's incomes and purchasing power fell. Not all parents can afford to buy a new school bag, school supplies."—0—

In 2017, the Sumgayit City Court ruled to evict the Aliyev family—refugees from Gubadli (Akper, Sarvinaz, Ramil, and two other family members)—from an illegally occupied apartment in the 12th microdistrict, Building 7A, Apartment 35. The court ordered the property be returned to its rightful owner, Samaya Aliyeva. However, the Ministry of Justice intervened, citing a presidential decree from July 1, 2004, which approved a state program for improving the living and working conditions of refugees. Under this directive, refugees without alternative housing cannot be evicted until they are provided with a replacement residence by the Executive Authority.
