Baku/18.02.21/Turan: Since the evening of February 17, precipitation in the form of snow has passed through the regions of Azerbaijan. Heavy snowfalls were observed in the mountains of the Greater and Lesser Caucasus.
In Sarybash (Gakh), the thickness of the snow cover reached 40 cm, Shahdag - 39 cm, Dashkesan - 28 cm, Gadabay - 24 cm, Goygol - 22 cm, Kishchay (Sheki), Tovuz, Kyryz (Guba) - 10 cm, the National Hydrometeorology Department of the Ministry of Ecology reports.
It rained in most low-lying areas. At the same time, precipitation was accompanied by strong winds.
In Neftchala, the west wind speed reached 30 m/s, Naftalan - 28 m/s, Salyan - 20 m/s, Shamkir - 19 m/s, Khachmaz, Sheki, Hajikabul - 16 m/s, on the Gum Adasy island - 27 m/s, Neft Dashlary (Oil Rocks), Baku - 21 m/s, Pirallahi, Sumgayit, Chilov Island - 20 m/s.
On the Oil Rocks, the wave height reached 4.8 meters. –06D—
