Thirty-eight soldiers killed in the first five months of the year
In the first five months of this year 38 people were killed in the field of defense and security of Azerbaijan. The number of wounded in the same period amounted to 63 people.
Only 8 of the victims died in military combat (from the fire from the Armenian side), three - from landmines, and 27 others were non-combat losses. This is stated in the report of the military research center Doctrine.
Non-combat losses look like this: 6 died in car accidents, one - under unclear circumstances, 4 - as a result of hazing, 6 - from disease, and 10 committed suicides. 33 of the dead were the Defense Ministry servicemen, 3 were from the Ministry of Justice, one was from the Internal Troops, and one was from the Frontier Troops.
Of the 63 injured, 15 suffered from hazing, 5 - as a result of suicide attempts, 10 - from the fire from the Armenian side, 8 – from landmines, 21 - from car accidents, two - during exercise, and one was poisoned.
55 of them were the Defense Ministry servicemen, 4 were from the Internal Troops, 3 were frontier guards, and one was from the Ministry of Justice. -03D-
