Three people were injured as a result of mine explosions in Kelbajar
On July 19, Huseynov Khalifa Hasan oglu, born in 1969 was blown up and injured by an antipersonnel mine in the unexploded territory of the village of Agdaban in the Kelbajar region, a joint statement by the press services of the Ministry of Defense, the Prosecutor General's Office, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Mine Clearance Agency (ANAMA) Azerbaijan.
Mammadov Samandar Aligama oglu, born in 1978, who followed him, received shrapnel wounds from the explosion of this mine, the press release further says.
Garashov Rahim Ashraf oglu, born in 1976, who arrived to help, suffered injuries of varying severity as a result of the explosion of the second mine.
The Prosecutor Office of Kelbajar region is conducting an investigation into this fact.
"Once again, we urge our citizens to comply with safety rules, pay attention to mine danger warning signs and not enter unfamiliar territories!" the press release concludes.
After the end of the 44-day war in 2020, more than 370 people were injured by mine explosions, including 70 killed.
