Tofig Yagublu Continues Hunger Strike for 17 Days
Baku / 18.09.20 / Turan: Opposition politician Tofig Yagublu continues his hunger strike for 17 days in protest against the illegal sentence.
“Last night he was examined by a special commission of TƏBIB (Joint Administration of Territorial Medical Units) and recognized his condition as “gravely satisfactory,” his daughter Nigar Hazi wrote on her Facebook page.
“Now they themselves realized that the condition of my father is grave and he simply will not live to see the court of appeal, which is scheduled for September 28. The government of Ilham Aliyev is responsible for his life. If he loses his life, then the authorities will be responsible for this,” said Nigar Hazi. -06D-

Around 15 stray dogs, accustomed to gathering at the Danachi landfill on the outskirts of the city, were shot by unknown assailants. The timing, coinciding with the fireworks, likely masked the sound of gunfire, ensuring that the heinous act went unnoticed until dawn.
