Tofig Yagublu's Condition Remains Grave
Baku / 17.09.20 / Turan: Convicted oppositionist Tofig Yagublu, who has been on a hunger strike for 16 days, is in an extremely serious condition. This was announced on September 17, by the doctor, Adil Geybulla, who takes care of him.
“He has been on a hunger strike for 16 days and his condition remains grave: weight loss and weakness. Contrary to his will, medical correction is carried out, but he does not accept food. In general, his condition is so bad that he may fall into a coma at any moment. Therefore, we try to intervene when the situation worsens,” said the professor.
In turn, the politician’s daughter Nigar Hazi said her father had received a blood transfusion the night before.
A hunger strike in support of Yagublu is also continuing in the office of the Musavat party.
