The street named after former Azerbaijani President Heydar Aliyev will be relocated in Astana, and it will be located near the Botanic Garden, Tengrinews.kz reports.
The change of the street name was approved by the Maslikhat deputies of the capital city.
Part of Sauran street - from Botanic Garden to "Mega Silk Way" mall - will be renamed into Heydar Aliyev street.
Now Heydar Aliyev street is located on the right bank of Astana.
During his visit to Azerbaijan in 2022 Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said that Astana will change the name of Heydar Aliyev street to a more appropriate site.
In a meeting with Ilham Aliyev later in Astana, Tokayev said that a more appropriate location for Heydar Aliyev street had been found.-0-
