Traffic Police Urge Drivers Not to Signal for No Reason
Baku/12.03.21/Turan: The Baku State Traffic Police Department urged drivers not to signal for no reason in order not to disturb the population.
“During peak hours, when traffic density on the streets and avenues, waiting at traffic lights, or overtaking, often the drivers honk inappropriately. And this causes fair discontent among citizens, including other drivers.
The traffic police are strengthening their control over such cases,” the police department said in a press release.
The traffic police remind that according to Article 329.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses, a fine of 30 manats is imposed for this offense.
The law allows the use of sound signals to prevent accidents. In other cases, this gives rise to an administrative offense and is punishable by a fine of 30 manats. —06D-
