Baku/17.06.21/Turan: On June 16, two Azerbaijani border guards were killed as a result of a MAZ car falling into the gorge near the village of Jijimli, Lachin district. According to the State Border Service, the dead were senior lieutenant Elmaddin Nasibov and warrant officer Kamal Kamally.
According to the same source, the incident occurred when the soldiers of the Gubadli border division were returning to their unit from advanced combat positions. -02D-

President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola has invited Azerbaijani economist and political prisoner Professor Gubad Ibadoglu to Strasbourg to attend the 2024 Sakharov Prize award ceremony.
