Two Sudanese detained while trying to illegally cross into Georgia
Baku /13.09.23/Turan: Two Sudanese citizens were detained at the Azerbaijani-Georgian border while attempting to illegally cross into Georgia.
According to the State Border Service of Azerbaijan, the detention took place on September 12 at 16:45 near the village of Pochtbina in the Balakan region.
Hassan Abdelgadir Noreen (born in 1998) and Ahmed Mahmoud Mohamed Abdelrahman (born in 1990) were detained. They arrived in Azerbaijan on September 9 and intended to reach Europe via Georgia. -0-

On January 7, President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree increasing the salaries of employees in several organizations funded by the state budget. According to the decree, the monthly salaries of managerial and other employees in around 20 institutions (including the Presidium, Apparatus, and Ganja Branch of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, and the Heydar Aliyev Center) will increase by an average of 15% starting January 1, 2025.
