UNIBANK does not issue money of Arif Yunus
Baku/27.05.14/Turan : The open JSC Unibank still refuses to issue from the personal account of Arif Yunus - head of the department of the Institute of Peace and Democracy. According to the of Arif Yunus, Leyla Yunus, Director of IPD, today he again appealed to bank for money. On April 24 Yunus wanted to take 8,740 euros from the current account in the STB Unibanka branch , but he denied this was "due to absence of money."
The next day, the refusal was explained by "technical problems." As a result , on April 28 the head of the security office of the bank (by name Vagif ) referred to the decision of Nasimi Court , and said the money will not be issued. Later, however, Leyla Yunus was not there was not such a decision from the Prosecutor Office. Leyla Yunus said that today in the bank Arif Yunusov was told that the issue of money was prohibited by the order of the Head of the Security Department of the bank Davud Rzayev.
"From 12:30 to 16:00 Arif could not get an appointment with this man or call him on the telephone number 541-33-33 , which he gave. This is a general telephone number of the bank , and Arif was said that Davud Rzayev was not in," said L.Yunus. Later, she called on this telephone number, and was connected with Yusif Mammadov, who was presented as the head of the deposits security department. According to Leyla Yunus, he could not explain the reason for refusal to issue money. "When I asked him how can the head of the Security Department prohibit the issuance of the customer's money, Mamedov said he did not know it ," said L.Yunus . She called the bank's actions " lawlessness." An appeal was made against the actions of the bank , but it is not known when it will be considered. The Yunus family cannot get back their foreign passport seized during the arrest at the Baku airport on April 28. Complaints to the courts have failed. Lawyer Khalid Bagirov said he was preparing materials for filing a complaint with the European Court of Human Rights, as Nasimi and Baku Appeals Court rejects appeal of Leyla Yunus for illegal confiscation of passports.
