Victory Day Veterans to Receive One-time Cash Benefits
Baku / 04.24.19 / Turan: In Azerbaijan, the participants of the Second World War will receive one-time financial assistance in the amount of 1,000 manat (about $ 600) to the Victory Day over Nazi fascism, celebrated on May 9.
In addition, by the holiday, 500 manat (about $ 300) will be given to the widows of fighters who were killed or later died, persons awarded orders and medals for their dedicated work in the rear, employees of special formations who performed missions in the interests of the army and the fleet, or in operational zones, persons awarded with a corresponding medal and breastplate for the defense of Leningrad, as well as participants in the blockade of Leningrad.
These measures are envisaged by the relevant order of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, signed on April 23.
It is planned to allocate AZN 5 million from the Reserve Fund of the President for these purposes. -06d--
