Video Blogger Hussein Azizoglu Arrested (Video)

The journalist and video blogger Hussein Azizoglu has been arrested administratively for 15 days. His colleagues believe that the reason for the arrest became satirical videos by Azizoglu on his Facebook, and in particular those ridiculing police officers.

Azizoglu was arrested January 8 the next day after he put the Uch Uz (The Three Faces) video on the theme of Focus on his Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/3FaceOfficialPage/).

The video compares the "magicians" in Azerbaijan and abroad. A foreign magician pulls out a tape from under the collar of the tested man. The local police in the form of a magician withdraw drug packets from the pockets of the tested one and detain him.

However, Azizoglu’s mother denied information in social networks about the arrest of her son in connection with the video clips. According to her, Hussein fought in the yard and it was the reason for his arrest.

Azizoglu worked for the Internet television Obyektiv TV, a project of the Institute of Reporters Freedom and Safety. The project was suspended after the prosecution of the NGO, the Director of which, Emin Huseynov was forced to leave the country.  -06D--
