Western regions of Azerbaijan suffer from storm winds, hail and mudslides
Baku/01.05.23/Turan: On Sunday afternoon, a number of western regions of Azerbaijan suffered from heavy rains with hail and gale-force winds, which caused mudslides.
The disaster caused damage to the agriculture of the region. Heavy hail seriously damaged fruit trees and caused damage to residential buildings and outbuildings. In some places, the size of hailstones reached a chicken egg.
The city of Mingachevir and regions of Geranboy, Goygol and Dashkesan suffered the most. In the Terter region, heavy rains flooded the villages of Agkend, Damirchilar and Gasangaya. For this reason, the Ministry of Emergency Situations evacuated a part of the population.
Numerous videos of users in social networks and sent to the Turan agency vividly demonstrate the consequences of the disaster. -02B-
