Baku/05.02.21/Turan: During the construction of a private house in the Gala settlement of the Khazar district of Baku, on February 4, at about 14.00, a worker was killed. Vahid Veliyev died of injuries received by a blow from a concrete mixer pump.
On the fact, a criminal case was initiated in the Khazar District Prosecutor's Office under Art. 162.2 (violation of labor protection rules, resulting in the death of a person by negligence) of the Criminal Code.
Investigative measures are being taken to identify and prosecute those responsible. —06D-

During search and operational activities, on January 30 at 11:20, 16.4 kg of drugs were discovered and seized in the area of the "Geytapa" border post, located on the Iran-Azerbaijan border. According to the Azerbaijan Border Service, this prevented an attempt to smuggle into Azerbaijan 11.3 kg of marijuana, 5.1 kg of opium, and 1,990 methadone M-40 pills from Iran.
