Youth activists arrested in Ganja for 25 days
Baku/02.08.17/Turan: On August 1, Mushfig Valiyev and Iskender Osmanli, members of the Board of the Movement of Young Nationalists, were arrested in Ganja. They were charged with disobeying the police and they were subjected to administrative arrest for 25 days. The activists were detained on July 31 by persons in civilian clothes, reads the statement of the Musavat Party.
The party considers this a continuation of political repressions against youth activists for their political activities. The party demanded to put an end to these repressions and immediately release the arrested. -16D-

It has been reported that the number of infant deaths in Azerbaijan is on the rise. While the official statistics for the previous year have yet to be disclosed, the number of infants who died before reaching one year of age reached 2,039 in 2023. This figure is 2.1 times higher compared to 2022. Among every 1,000 live births, 18.1 infants (or 1.8%) died before their first birthday.
