Forecasts that APA will resume functioning are not justified

Baku / 03.08.18 / Turan: The information launched on the eve of the social network about the imminent resumption of work of the APA agency is not justified. The leadership of this media, which has gone into deaf protection, today made an incomprehensible statement, confirming the complexity of the situation. The head of the agency Vusala Abyshova on her Facebook page wrote: The websites of the APA were closed by the agency itself due to certain problems. An investigation is underway, and on the results the information will be given."

Meanwhile, Ali Hasanov, the head of the ideological department of the presidential administration, responsible for the media sphere, is silent as a fish. Just APA has been his mouthpiece for many years. It is not clear what caused the "Olympic tranquility" of this man, who a couple of days ago spoke in defense of another insignificant edition.

"Eternal friend" of journalists, the head of the Press Council Aflatun Amashov and his entourage, which day and night publish on the page "AzerTAc" mediocre comments with a claim to the analysis of geopolitics and international issues are also silent.

The Press Council, whose member is Vusala Abyshova, is silent, as if waiting for the order what to say on the situation ...

All this confirms the opinion that the reason for blocking the agency is not just an incorrect quote from the head of state. This mistake was a cause. What is the real reason, will be known later, although already now something can be guessed.

It is clear that the authorities do not want to save the structure that for years served it. It's no secret that the lady managing the agency has long provoked irritation at the top. Therefore, the status of a completely loyal and pro-government media is not yet a guarantee of preserving business and positions. There are also written and not written rules of play and behavior, which are sometimes more important than political loyalty.

In the sphere of media, the process of redistribution of the market has been going on for about a year. A new major player who sets his own order is coming to the scene, and eliminates the nuisance.

Among the latter are current curators of senseless and stupid newspapers and websites sitting on the neck of the state, and bring nothing but a loss.

Today dozens of sites are on subsidies to oligarchs and government agencies, playing the role of heralds of official policy. However, their main purpose is to divert people's attention from social problems.

Those editors who had smelled the plans of the authorities in time, well enriched. Having quickly fled from the camp of the opposition to the authorities, they turned into active propagandists of the government. But people who agreed to this role, forgot that there is an object that is only one-time; though sometimes it is used again.

For many years the official policy was to distract the population from real problems. Any discussion or doubt about the correctness of this or that decision was presented as a conspiracy, the expression of interests of foreign circles, or work for Armenians.

The present curators of the media in the government saw their role precisely in this. Therefore, any serious problem, an accident in Mingechevir or riots in Ganja, is perceived not as an objective outcome of errors and unprofessionalism, but as the intrigues of enemies.

Although there were normal mass media, serious analytical centers, social studies and open discussions in the country, bridges would not collapse, and electricity would not be cut off all over the country, and the tyrants would not swear at the streets in the street.

Those who today want to reformat the ideological field of the country, including the creation of new players in the information field, must take all this into account, and resolutely eliminate from this sphere provincial-half-educated people who pretend to play the main role in this field.

Corruption must be fought not after the provincial swindler drowns hundreds of millions of dollars into the Caspian Sea, and not after the head of the bank plunder billions.

Otherwise, all this will repeat. -0-
