J. Hasanli: "My grandson is not allowed to go to school"
Baku / 03.11.20 / Turan: Chairman of the National Council of Democratic Forces Jamil Hasanli announced the refusal of his grandson Ibrahim Hasanli to study.
After finishing the 9th grade of Baku school number 132 with marks "excellent" and "good", Hasanli took his grandson with him on an academic business trip to the United States, notifying the educational institution that he would return to study a year later.
In 2019-2020 the teenager studied at Montgomery County Northwood High School, upon completion of which he received an honorary diploma.
“Due to the extension of my internship in the United States, I sent my grandson to Baku to continue his studies,” Hasanli said.
However, the school said that he should apply to the Ministry of Education. On September 3, all documents were sent to the Ministry of Education.
The response from this department was allegedly sent by mail on September 23, but for 40 days it did not reach the Hasanli family.
“How can it be that in one city a letter does not reach the addressee for 40 days? The Ministry of Education explains this by the military situation. During World War II, soldiers' letters from trenches a thousand km away reached in two weeks ... ”, - Hasanli said.
The Ministry of Education did not give Hasanli's relatives a copy of the answer, and did not send it to school number 132.
“What is the Ministry of Education guided by when torturing a teenager and his family? Why should the issue of restoring a student to school be resolved at the level of the Ministry of Education? I think that this is about persecuting a schoolchild, creating obstacles to education, which is a violation of constitutional law,” Hasanli said.
Earlier, the Ministry of Communications also violated his rights by not giving him a book sent from Israe l, stating that the recipient's address was not indicated.
Hasanli is convinced that the reason for all this unworthy fuss is his political activity.
“I didn't want to write about it - there is a war going on in the country, but I have to do it. We are talking about the fate of a 16-year-old teenager who will very soon go to the army and will serve his homeland.
It is also necessary to fight a political enemy with worthy methods and not stoop to torture his grandson, depriving him of his education,” Hasanli said. –06D-

In our society, there is no place under the sun for enlightened people. In our society, the place for enlightened individuals is in dark basements. People who ought to spread light are subjected to curses. Their only weapon is their bright ideas. Their only crime relates to daring to uncover truths hidden beneath the societal fog, bringing them to light and acquainting the community with them. Natig Javadli was such a person, a journalist with a historical consciousness and an enlightening activity.
