Torment of Heroine of Endless Corridor Movie Does Not End
In 1993, a refugee from Khojaly Mehriban Bekirova (Khamzayeva), whose husband died heroically, defending the Khojaly airport, was allotted a land plot of 12 acres in the village of Turklyar in the Beylagan district.
Mehriban Bekirova and her four young children all these years have been living in the Goranboy region, like most of the Khojaly people. At that time, the authorities allocated 1200 sq. m of land from the fund of the local state farm, but did not take care of the registration of cadastral documents, maps and clear definitions to whom the site was given and where it is allocated.
As a result, the development and use of allocated land occurred haphazardly and with obvious violations.
A non-working widow with four children (one of whom was deaf-and-dumb) could not deal with the paperwork regarding a site located 200 km from her place of residence. All this time, she piously believed that she and her children had a rightful place that they would be able to use some day.
Years later, the children grew up, started their own families, and decided to use the land allocated to them. When they arrived at the site, it turned out that the land had long been re-registered to another person and had already been settled...
Attempts to achieve truth and justice in the Executive Power of the Beylagan district did not produce results. There, the refugee was recommended ... to buy her land from the new owner.
Mehriban Bekirova, who after the death of her husband lost her young daughter Gunay in 2011, suffered a shock.
The appeal of the Turan news agency to the EP of Beylagan was redirected to the municipality of the village of Turklyar, whose representative Ahmedaly Mursalov said that the municipality does not have an additional land fund and confirmed that Bekirova can only buy the specified plot from the new owner.
The current situation caused a heart attack at Bekirova and her hospitalization.
It seems that even 27 years after the tragedy of Khojaly, the torment of this family did not stop.
Recall that the tragic fate of Bekirova was described in detail in the documentary film of the Lithuanian cinematographers Endless Corridor, which received numerous international prizes and was also shown on Azerbaijani television channels.
Such an attitude towards the people who suffered in the war and lost their breadwinner cannot but cause outrage and every kind of condemnation. -0 -----

On the eve of a large-scale flood approaching Baku, a disturbing incident occurred in the village of Buzovna, where a Lada Priora car fell into the ground, literally collapsing the road beneath it. The driver miraculously remained unharmed but vowed to seek justice, promising to file an official complaint with the prosecutor’s office against Azersu OJSC, the state-owned water supply and sewerage company, often associated with deeply rooted corruption.

In a bit of historic irony, powerful oligarch Bidzina Ivanishvili has managed to inspire rare unity across Georgia’s cacophonous political scene twice in his life. His money and influence forged the broad-based consolidation of opposition forces that brought him to power in 2012, and now, 12 years and three electoral cycles later, a similar pattern of opposition convergence could send him packing.
