Azerbaijani and Chinese companies have signed agreements for $ 800 million
Baku / 04.24.19 / Turan: Within the framework of the Second One Belt, One Road International Forum in Beijing, Azerbaijani and Chinese companies signed ten agreements for $ 821 million. In particular, according to AZERTAG, contracts have been signed for the construction of a tire factory in the Sumgayit chemical-industrial park, the creation of a 300-hectare greenhouse complex in the Kurdamir region of Azerbaijan, and the construction of agrological industrial parks in the Guba, Goychay and Khachmaz regions.
In addition, agreements were signed on the creation of an Asian-European telecommunications corridor under the Azerbaijan Digital HUB program, an agreement on transit through the territory of Azerbaijan through the Trans-Caspian transport corridor 2.5 thousand containers, a contract to export Azerbaijani wines to China. A Memorandum of Cooperation was also signed on the establishment of the Azerbaijan Trade House in the city of Chengdu. Azerbaijan is the main trade partner of China in the South Caucasus, said the country's economy minister Shahin Mustafayev. Azerbaijan accounts for 43 percent of China"s trade in the South Caucasus region. Chinese investors have invested $ 800 million in the economy of Azerbaijan.
