The court did not satisfy the claim of the agency Turan to the State Committee on Refugees
Baku / 04.24.19 / Turan: Administrative and Economic Court No. 1 did not satisfy the claim of the Turan news agency to the State Committee for Refugees and Forced Migrants in connection with the failure to provide an answer to the information request of September 26, 2018. The judge Miminat Hajibayekova considered that the answer submitted by the State Committee on October 8 of the same year as a whole can be considered as an answer. The plaintiff believes that the response presented is general in nature and does not clarify specific questions about how to specifically address the return of the house of the resident of the city of Sumgayit, Imamaverdi Zabidov, who was captured in 1993to his family; Imamverdi Zabidov died during the fighting in Karabakh.
At the first meeting of the court on December 13, 2018, the representative of the state committee orally described in more detail the next steps to solve the problem, but the same judge Hajibayekova offered to present these arguments in writing to the agency to the current court session. And today, the judge, in contrast to the previous position, took the side of the defendant, who completely ignored the court session. The agency will challenge today's court opinion after receiving a written decision. The unprecedented problem of the Zabidov family, when a refugee seizes the dwelling of the family of the deceased for the release of the refugee"s land from invaders, was covered in the following articles:
