Talks of OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs with Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan, Armenia

Baku/16.02.21/Turan: The OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs Igor Popov (RF), Stefan Visconti (France) and Andrew Schofer (USA) and Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office Andrzej Kasprzyk held a meeting with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov via videoconference on February 16

During the meeting, the parties discussed the current situation in the region, including issues related to the implementation of the joint statements of the leaders of Azerbaijan, Armenia and the Russian Federation dated November 10, 2020 and January 11, 2021.

The importance of restoring mutual trust was noted for ensuring sustainable peace and security in the region and for the implementation of cohabitation in conditions of calm.

Today the co-chairs also met by videoconference with Armenian Foreign Minister Ara Ayvazyan.

The co-chairs held a long and substantive exchange of views with each minister on issues related to promoting stability in the region, the methods of the mediation process and the role of the personal representative of the OSCE chairman-in-office, the Minsk Group said in a statement. —06D-
