The civilized world, even China, which the Kremlin unreasonably ascribes to its supporters, recognizes and declares the importance of Ukraine as a shield against the obvious and endless military expansion of Russia. For this reason, the Ukrainian army receives many of the weapons that President Zelensky demands from the West. The United States signed a lend-lease document, pledging to supply Ukrainians with weapons until Kyiv signs a peace treaty with Moscow.

Suddenly, in the fourth month of the war, Henry Kissinger, the National Security Assistant and US Secretary of State under Presidents Richard Nixon and Gerald Ford, the one who laid down his life for the collapse of the USSR, came out in Davos with a proposal to Zelensky to surrender territories to Putin. The ex-secretary of state insists on the West exerting pressure on Kyiv so that Zelensky ceases resistance and gives territory to the aggressor. The carrot in Kissinger's idea is his, not Putin's, promise not to continue Russia's aggression in the new European lands. Although the Deputy Commander of the Central Military District of the Russian Federation, Rustam Minnekaev, at the annual meeting of the Union of Defense Industries of the Sverdlovsk Region, publicly announced Moscow's intention to seize Moldova. And in Moscow propaganda TV shows they talk about the annexation of all Ukraine and Belarus to Russia, with access to the borders of Poland, "and we'll see" (Duma deputy Pyotr Tolstoy).

What made Henry Kissinger make such an unexpected statement? It turns out that he is not a "sleeping agent" of the Kremlin, but quite a "wakeful" one. Back in 2009, Andrei Piontkovsky, a political scientist and employee of Hudson University (Washington), in an article revealed the activities of Kissinger and other well-known American politicians who are carrying out the Kremlin's assignments. Piontkovsky in an article with the cheeky title "Who's Who on Putin's Payroll?" wrote: "The Obama administration's policy towards Russia is based on the recommendations of people who do not hold official positions in the administration, but have close business relations with Russia and the Kremlin: Henry Kissinger, James A. Baker, Thomas Graham and Dimitri Simes. The first two have a reputation of major geopoliticians, and Graham and Simes are prominent experts on Russia, writing reports for the administration, traveling between Moscow and Washington, and negotiating the parameters of the Obama administration's attempt to "reset" bilateral relations. Like Schroeder, all of these people have economic interests. Baker is a consultant to two companies at the commanding heights of the Russian economy: Gazprom and Rosneft Kissinger Associates lobby group, of which Graham leads Russia, supports the Kissinger-Primakov task force, a semi-private initiative endorsed by Putin , to deepen ties between Russia and the United States. The recommendations of all these people and groups contain valuable and instructive information, as they unobtrusively and in a language understandable to American leaders state the main goals of their Kremlin clients.

In that article, Piontkovsky uses a prophetic term: "Finlandization of Ukraine", the meaning of which is becoming clear now, when Russia, having started a difficult and unpopular war with Ukraine, has captured part of it. Exactly as happened in the war between the USSR and Finland in 1939-40.

To lobby Putin's wishes, the Kremlin provided Kissinger with prepared propaganda platforms. One of them is the Internet resource "Russia in Global Affairs". In it, Kissinger has a separate page on which his publications are posted. The last one is dated 2018.

The official trustees of this resource are Vladimir Potanin - Chairman of the Board of Trustees, President of the holding company "Interros", Ruslan Yunusov - General Director of the Russian Quantum Center, Head of the Project Office for Quantum Technologies of the State Corporation "Rosatom". As you can see, it’s not sickly, with billions (in dollars) of fee opportunities.

In "Kissinger: A Vision for US-Russian Relations," the first paragraph reads: "From 2007 to 2009, Yevgeny Primakov and I chaired a panel that included senior former ministers, officials, and military leaders from Russia and the United States, some of whom are here today. The purpose of this group was to weaken the antagonistic aspects of Russian-American relations and to look for opportunities for developing cooperation. In America, it was called the "second track group", which means that it was supported by both parties, and the White House welcomed its activities of an exploratory nature, not "Giving authority to negotiate on our own behalf. We held meetings in turn in one country and then in another. In 2007, our group was received by President Putin, and in 2009 by President Medvedev."

From the career list of E. Primakov: head of the Central Intelligence Service of the USSR (1991), director of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Russia (1991-1996) ...

Should one, knowing this, be surprised at Kissinger's "betrayal"? He did not betray, but continues to serve as "Putin's infantryman."
