While Turkey, which is trying to be oppressed by France and Greece in the Eastern Mediterranean, defended its rights, in these processes, Ankara got an opportunity to gain greater influence in the Mediterranean-Caspian line.
Saraj's advantage after signing a cooperation agreement with Prime Minister Fayez al-Saraj in Istanbul on November 27 last year to support the official government in Tripoli has led to the sudden opening of several fronts against Turkey.
Tensions with France continue to rise, Ankara has repeatedly responded with Navtexes against the agreement signed between Greece and Egypt. In the past month, the political process in Libya has begun to change against Ankara: al-Saraj, who retains power thanks to Turkey, did not consult with his close friend Tayyip Erdoğan when deciding on a ceasefire and elections in March.
If the processes continue in this way, we will see that the AKP's “Muslim brothers” policy will once again go bankrupt.
We have written before: despite this policy of Ankara, which has cut all ties with official Cairo since 2013, Egypt has become a key country on the northern and eastern shores of the Mediterranean.
In these processes, which took place in the summer months, Turkey continues to maintain its position with its navy and will continue to do so. However, the most important result for Turkey this summer was that while maintaining its position in the Eastern Mediterranean, it reopened the door on a long vector line and said, "I'm here too". It is about Ankara's serious presence in the Mediterranean-Caspian Sea since the end of July.
Turkey correctly analyzed Armenia's attack on Azerbaijan from the region outside Karabakh in the Black Sea-Caspian line and responded to this aggression in the Mediterranean-Caspian line. With the Kars-Gyumri-Moscow agreements, it not only landed troops to Nakhchivan, over which it already had the "right of guardianship" but also conducted large-scale military exercises with the Azerbaijani army.
Rapid processes are already moving towards the discussion of "Turkey's permanent stay in Azerbaijan". From a military point of view, Azerbaijan's restrained approach to these processes should be welcomed. However, in addition to the tightening of diplomatic stance against Armenia, for example, President Ilham Aliyev's statement that he was "on Turkey's side" when receiving a letter of credence from the Greek Ambassador to Baku can be considered a sign of a behind-the-scenes agreement between Baku and Ankara to strengthen the Mediterranean-Caspian line.
In fact, Greece should welcome Mr. Aliyev's words to the ambassador. Because just as Armenia's support for the pressure on Turkey in the Eastern Mediterranean pleased Athens and the southern part of Nicosia, now the unconditional support of the Azerbaijani President to Turkey should not kill Athens’ buzz. We are talking about the further closing the ranks in the Mediterranean-Caspian line and nothing can be more natural than the fact that Azerbaijan and Turkey, which have the same ethnic and religious origins, will act together in this line.
From a strategic point of view, the strengthening of this line is important for the permanent prevention of the intention of Armenia, which occupied Azerbaijani lands, to annex some of the eastern regions of the country without recognizing the territorial integrity of Turkey. In order to carry out the West's failed plans, now by playing certain roles, Emmanuel Macron either has the bug for the Lebanese government or meets with the Kurds in northern Iraq and Syria.
It should not be forgotten that the main goal of Armenia's plan to expand its borders at the expense of Turkish lands is to bring direct contacts with the Kurds in the region to the highest level. Strengthening ties with Greece and Southern Cyprus as much as possible is also an element of that goal.
While the intentions and plans of Armenia, which has been occupying Azerbaijani lands for 28 years and now attacking Azerbaijani lands outside Karabakh, are so clear, what could be more natural than the strengthening of cooperation between Turkey and Azerbaijan on the Mediterranean-Caspian line to thwart those aggressive plans?
Friendship and brotherhood are in place, the most necessary step against the new occupying plans...
