Armenia and Azerbaijan are reported to have reached full agreement on 13 out of 16 articles of a draft peace treaty, according to Armenia’s Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan. Speaking at a briefing in Yerevan on September 9, alongside his Luxembourg counterpart, Mirzoyan expressed optimism about the potential for the peace agreement to be signed soon.

"Armenia has confirmed the official Baku statement that the clause on regional communications has been removed from the peace treaty draft based on mutual agreement. This was reported by Ani Badalyan, spokesperson for the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on August 7."
