Information and analytical portal "Azerbaijan in Focus" launched in London
London / 02.11.20 / Turan: On October 29, a new international magazine dedicated to the problems of the Caucasus began functioning in London. This happened during the resumption of hostilities between Azerbaijan and Armenia, reports the portal "Yahoo News".
"Azerbaijan in Focus" is an English-language multi-platform publication covering the problems of politics, international relations, multiculturalism, business, economy, culture, history and ethnography, as well as education.
"Azerbaijan in Focus" fills an empty information niche, attracting the attention of quickly the number of readers interested in Azerbaijan, "said the founder of the publication Taleh Bagiyev.
The magazine will publish news articles, essays, author's and editorial articles of Azerbaijani and Western journalists, authoritative scientists and other representatives of the expert-analytical community,” he said.
The portal (www.azerfocus.com) is launched with the support of extensive video content and social networks, and from 2021, it will be published monthly and distributed in major European cities.
T. Bagiyev noted that the idea of "Azerbaijan in Focus" emerged when the First Vice-President of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva called on her fellow citizens and friends of Azerbaijan to work more actively in the information field. “The voices of truth of our compatriots help to reveal historical falsifications and prevent the dissemination of absolutely unfounded, deliberately false, provocative materials,” Mehriban Aliyeva said.
“Azerbaijan in Focus” is a direct result of this call by the First Vice President for more active engagement at this critical time for Azerbaijan,” said editor-in-chief of the magazine, Neil Watson. “As one of the first media platforms dedicated to Azerbaijan, headquartered in London, we strive to create a strong team of journalists, researchers and academics who will become the voice of justice in Azerbaijan. We will work to correct misconceptions and misinformation by providing objective, fair and interesting content.”
“For almost 30 years Armenia has not fulfilled its obligations under international law. In fact, as President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has repeatedly emphasized, our country is fighting on its lands to restore its territorial integrity,”said T. Bagiyev, the author of several books on this topic, including “The Armenian Question in the Caucasus” and “Khojaly tragedy: an international view." -02B-
