XIII Gabala International Music Festival starts
Baku/26.07.23/Turan: The XIII Gabala International Music Festival is set to commence on July 27, with the opening ceremony marking the beginning of the event, which will run until August 2.
According to the Ministry of Culture, the festival will witness the participation of renowned musicians, performers, and conductors from various countries, including Great Britain, Estonia, Lithuania, Poland, Russia, Turkey, and Azerbaijan.
Under the artistic direction of Azerbaijan's esteemed people's artists, Farhad Badalbeyli and Murad Adigozalzade, the grand opening will feature a captivating concert titled "Viva Opera." This extraordinary performance will include appearances by acclaimed artists such as Dinara Aliyeva (soprano), Avaz Abdullayev (baritone), Samir Jafarov and Yusif Eyvazov (both tenors), and Honored artist Sabina Asadova (mezzo-soprano). The celebrated musicians will be accompanied by Honored artist Ayyub Guliyev and the Azerbaijan State Symphony Orchestra, which is named after Uzeyir Hajibeyli.
The Gabala International Music Festival has followed a traditional format since its inception in 2009. These music festivals play a crucial role in fostering the growth and advancement of local artists and the musical scene in Azerbaijan. Throughout the years, numerous music festivals have been held across various regions of the country, promoting cultural exchange and artistic enrichment.
