Reports of the surrender of Mariupol are lies, Ukrainian expert
Baku/04.05.22/Turan: The reports of the Russian media about the provision of a corridor for the Ukrainian military to leave Mariupol and surrender their weapons are a lie, Oleksandr Musiyenko, an expert in the field of military law, stated in an interview with Turan.
“This is a fake, none of the Ukrainian military has surrendered and does not intend to do so. Some of our most combat-ready soldiers from the Azov battalion and our marines are stationed there. It is very difficult for them, they are more than a meat in the environment, but they do not intend to give up and will defend the city and its inhabitants to the end,” Musienko said.
At the same time, he confirmed that the leaders of a number of countries are negotiating with Putin in order to achieve a corridor for tens of thousands of people who are blocked in Mariupol to leave the city. According to his estimates, 120,000 civilians still remain in the city, and the city itself is 80% destroyed.
“According to our information, the same atrocities were committed against the civilian population in Mariupol as in the city of Bucha,” he said. -02B-
