Students demand to respect their opinions and concerns
Baku/04.05.21/Turan: The purpose of the protest action, which was held on May 3 by the "Student Power Center" (SPC) under the slogan "Justice for the student", was to support students of the Azerbaijan State Economic University (ASEU), the head of the Central Social Service Ahmed Mammadli stated in the "Difficult Question" program of the Turan agency.
The protesters were detained, and some were subjected to moral and physical pressure, however, everyone was released.
The action participants demanded to take into account the opinions of students during semester exams.
Another requirement was the elimination of the online absenteeism limit. The protesters also noted the need to create appeal commissions, where you can appeal the results of semester exams.
Another demand related to the abolition of reprimands handed down to students who protested against the new examination rules, according to which students are not given questionnaires in advance.
According to Mammadli, these innovations only complicate the passing of exams and contribute to the underestimation of students' scores, depriving them of scholarships.
He noted that no police pressure and detention could break the struggle of activists for student rights and against violations of the law. — 05D06-
