250 000 AZN to Prepare Estimates for Reconstruction of Olympic Complex
The Ministry of Youth and Sports (MYS) has signed a contract with the company ArchiCO for preparation of design and estimate documentation for reconstruction Lenkoran Olympic Sports Center (USC). The complex area of ??9.2 hectares was put into operation in October 2003.
The cost of the contract is 250 000 AZN noted in the register of state-funded procurement contracts, which is maintained by the State Agency on Procurement.
In May of this year at the opening of Gobustan USC the USC Lenkoran sketch was presented to President Ilham Aliyev, who personally opened the complex just before the presidential election in 2003 - 9 October.
It is remarkable that MYS has entered into such an agreement with the same company for the sum of 230 thousand manats for preparation of construction documents for the construction of Tartar USC.
This year, for the implementation of state-funded investment projects in the field of sports activity MYS received 336.4 million manat. This represents approximately 6% of the state's investment portfolio for the current year. Among the projects of construction of USC there are those in the Gakh, Neftchala, Aghjabadi, Geygel, Khachmaz, Absheron and Geranboy areas.
To date, the Olympic sports complexes operate in 30 locations across the country. - 08B -
