82 people killed in production in 2012
In 2012, as a result of accidents 82 people were killed. Compared with the previous year, the number of deaths decreased 15 people. Independent experts believe that the situation is still critical.
According to the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, in the past year due to non-observance of safety regulations varying injured 159 people. This is 52 people (25%) less than in 2011. The bulk of accidents accounts for the construction sector.
In 2012, the oil sector killing 12 people, another 46 people were injured. The head of the Committee to Protect Oil Workers Rights Mirvari Gahramanli told Turan that the security situation in the labor can not be called stable, while there is at least one fatality.
