A special program for tour guides
The State Committee on Standardization, Metrology and Patent approved the standard of education and training for tour guides. The standard is mainly regulates the requirements for the preparation of guides for the country.
The spokesman for the State Committee, Fazil Talibov told Turan the standard also reflects the requirements for the knowledge of the terrain, the language skills to communicate with guests, etc.
The spokesman for the Ministry of Culture and Tourism Zahra Aliyeva told Turan professional guides are trained in the Institute of Tourism of Azerbaijan, where 30 people have received the certificates. Of these, 24 have received special permission to the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, and work in their specialty. - 08B-
