About Half of Sumgait Industrial Zone Distributed among Seven Residents
In the first four months of this year, the status of resident of Sumgait Chemical Industrial Park (SCIP) was granted to three companies, which organize the industrial activity on 8.5 hectares of its territory.
This year, the new residents of SCIP are LLC Baku Non Ferrous and Foundry Company (5 hectares), LLC SIKA (1.5 ha) and LLC MST Engineering Services (2 hectares).
Thus, today 83.5 out of the 192 hectares of its industrial area are distributed between seven residents of SCIP.
According to the SCIP management company (LLC Sumgait Chemical and Industrial Park), the park area is 295.62 hectares. According to the Master Plan for SCIP, the industrial park is 192 hectares. It will include areas intended for the production of agricultural and medicinal chemicals, construction chemicals, electronic and automotive chemicals, polymers and construction equipment.
Negotiations are currently underway to organize the production of drugs. In the social area of 21 hectares the Park residents will be provided with ample opportunities. There will operate 16- and 20-storey office buildings, a complex for exhibitions and conferences, a laboratory building, shops, a children’s care center, indoor and outdoor sports facilities, a fitness center, a complex of dormitories, as well as other objects that will serve the residents and workers. -----08B
